RETURN POLICY – MURUGAN SAREES
Right of Withdrawal (14 Days)
If you are entitled to a statutory right of withdrawal, you may notify us that you wish to withdraw from your purchase without giving a reason. For goods sold to consumers in the EU, you may notify us before delivery and for 14 days after the last item in your order has been delivered. For customers elsewhere, the applicable withdrawal period and any exceptions are determined by the consumer law that applies to your purchase. Please see How to Start a Return below for how to notify us.
⚠️ Return Conditions
You may examine an item to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and fit, as you would reasonably be able to do in a shop. You may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary for that purpose, where permitted by applicable law.
Please return the item with its original packaging, tags and labels where reasonably possible, and take care to protect it during return shipping. Missing or opened packaging does not, by itself, remove a statutory right of withdrawal. Items that have been worn or used beyond reasonable examination will be assessed individually under applicable law.
How to Start a Return
To exercise a statutory right of withdrawal, email info@murugansarees.com within the applicable withdrawal period and clearly tell us that you wish to withdraw from your purchase. Include your name and order number so we can identify the order. You do not need to give a reason or wait for our approval to notify us of your withdrawal. We will acknowledge your notice and provide return instructions, including the return address in Herning, Denmark. You can also request a return or cancellation yourself from your customer account under Returns & cancellations.
If you are requesting a voluntary return outside a statutory right, please contact us before sending the item. Do not send a return to the legal business address in Førde. Return shipping costs are handled as described in the Refunds section below.
Cancellations
You may cancel an order until it has been fulfilled. To cancel, contact us at info@murugansarees.com as soon as possible, or request a cancellation from your customer account under Returns & cancellations. Once an order has been fulfilled, cancellation is no longer available, and you may instead use the return process described above after delivery. Cancellations do not affect your statutory rights.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt. If your item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us at info@murugansarees.com as soon as possible, and preferably within 14 days of delivery, so we can document the issue with the carrier. This does not limit your statutory rights to claim defects under applicable consumer law.
Exceptions and Promotional Items
A reduced price or a “final sale” label does not, by itself, remove any statutory right of withdrawal or rights relating to faulty goods. Where a legal exception to the right of withdrawal applies to a particular item, we will identify it clearly before purchase. Custom-made or personalised items will be assessed under the applicable rules for such goods. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Inspection of Returns
We inspect and document returned items when they arrive. If we believe an item is not eligible for a voluntary return, or that its value has been reduced by handling beyond what is necessary to examine it, we will explain our assessment to you. We will not automatically reject a statutory withdrawal or a valid claim concerning faulty goods solely because an item does not meet our voluntary return conditions.
If an item must be sent back to you, we will tell you the available options and any applicable shipping or handling charge before arranging the return shipment. We will not charge an automatic fixed fee merely because you exercised a statutory right.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to return an item, please follow the process above and place a new order separately. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Refunds
If you exercise a statutory right of withdrawal, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the item where permitted by applicable law and where we informed you of this before purchase. We will refund the payments required by applicable law, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option where required. Additional costs resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery option might not be refundable.
Refunds will be made to the original payment method within the period required by applicable law. We may withhold a refund until we receive the goods back or you provide evidence that you have sent them, where permitted by law. Different rules may apply if an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect; please contact us so we can resolve that separately.
